Don’t just cast dark skinned or nonwhite actors— cast Inuit or Yupik or other indigenous and first nation people as Katara, Sokka, and the other members of the water tribe. you know what’s really amazing about Full Metal Alchemist? That with Ed and Winry, Roy and Riza, Al and May, Ling and Lanfan, Trisha and Hohenheim, Izumi and Sig, and I think even Hughes and Gracia, all these couples who are canon or all but confirmed canon, and I don’t think any of them have ever kissed on screen. you can correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember in the manga or in brotherhood there being an onscreen kiss. It’s pretty amazing, that you know these couples are together and love each other dearly, but they never have to kiss to show it
